Shortly After The New Zealand Shooting, Our Facebook Page Was Removed Without Notice and Without Cause
The attack on Christians and biblical truth is in full swing. Shortly after the New Zealand shooting occurred Facebook deemed fit to delete our page.
Liberal media organizations have become increasingly hostile toward authentic Christian thought and biblical teaching. In recent years, other Christian bloggers, pastors and teachers have faced similar discrimination. The Facebook page “Warriors for Christ” was also a target of this anti-christian platform.
Warriors for Christ, a West Virginia-based ministry, are a group that opposes any sinful behavior. Its Facebook page had more than 225,000 followers. Its administrators frequently post memes that criticize LGBT rights and abortions, among other topics. Videos from Pastor Rich Penkoski are also posted on the page. After having their page reinstated, days later Facebook took the organizations page down again citing a violation of community standards including hate speech.
Calling out sin is not hate but done so out of love of the sinner. As 1 Tim 1:8-11 explains, “But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully. Realizing the fact that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and for a moral man and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.”
The authors for “Warriors for Christ” blog and Facebook page taught the truth about the evil and sin of the LGBTQ lifestyles. As Christians, we are called to teach the truth as God sees the world, not how we see the world or think how it should be.
Facebook might not know this but freedom of religion is protected by the constitution and this same freedom allows for the free exercise of the press. Sadly, when Facebook suppresses traditional christian teaching they are in violation of the very laws that allow them to operate. We should pray to God that He will intervene in these companies so His word and truth will be spread across the globe and with internet platforms such as Facebook.
